Resources for LGBTQI Students
From "An Ally's Promise" by Anthony D'Angelo
I Challenge You
I challenge you to honor who you are.
I challenge you to enjoy your life rather than endure it.
I challenge you to create the status quo rather than merely accept it.
I challenge you to live in your imagination more than your memory.
I challenge you to live your life as a revolution and not just a process of evolution.
I challenge you to ignore other people's ignorance so that you may discover your own wisdom.

The DEC Around Campus
The DEC would love to partner with you to empower students! Please contact us to organize a workshop, panel presentation, discussion session, or special class, led or co-facilitated by Office of Diversity and Equity staff members and/or student leaders. We can have workshops titled: "If Everyone Understood My Identity, How Would Things Be Different?" "Hot Buttons," "Becoming an Ally to LGBTQI Students," and "Identity Development," or we can work with you to help debrief a topic your class is studying either during your class period or as a separate session in the DEC.
